I’m Zihao (Gary) Wang, a Data Science student with a Mathematics minor at the University of Michigan.

Before Michigan, I studied data science, economics, and mathematics at the University of Rochester. Moving between fields—and classrooms—shaped my interest in building technical systems that people can understand and use.

Although my training is technical, the questions that motivate me are fundamentally human-centered: how people learn with technology, how online communities create shared meaning, and how digital culture survives—or disappears—as platforms and audiences change.
